“They aimed to kill us and we are alive” said the Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel when evaluating the result of the fruitless efforts carried out by the imperialist government of the United States during 2019 to strangle the Revolution through brutal, draconian measures, such as preventing the country from getting the necessary fuel to keep the national life functioning.


While in various countries of Latin America, widespread protests against neoliberalism are ongoing in the streets, Cuba faced a challenging and tense year because of the increased hostility of the United States, but it did so in peace and with its citizens united.


The last meeting of the Council of Ministers of the year 2019 was held Tuesday at the Palace of the Revolution, headed by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic of Cuba, and led by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz.
