Such a miracle -the organic and singular mix that turns out to be our identity- turns into a motive year after year of celebration and study, of debate and communions, in the so called Days of the Cultural Diversity, that since its opening as institution of the Office of the Historian has sponsored the central and blue House of the Cultural Diversity.
Arrived at its fourth edition, the Event of 2014, that takes place from May 21st until 25th, persists in the original intentions of opening spaces for the dialogue among those who studies the cultural mixtures of the region and the heirs, promoters and growers of these legacies; so that in addition to recognizing their chore, a bilateral enrichment should be achieved between academy and bearers of the traditions.
To the theoretical spaces of the mornings -nourished with approximately 30 works among conferences, presentations and panels- will join the contest of the diverse manifestations of the art, since the opening with the participation of the Folkloric Ballet of Camagüey and the provincial school of Wu Shu, up to the exhibits in galleries of the city, the achievement of a exhibit of Chinese movies in the multiscreen cinema Casablanca, the presentation of a traditional ceremony of the tea, the performance of choirs of the local German-Catalan community, the preparation and tasting of Haitian specialties, along with the exhibit of hairstyles and fashions proper of this culture and an explanatory exhibit of the community workshop of Chinese ornamentation; all of them drive that they will cheer up the evenings and nights of five days of meet.
The program of this year is dedicated to the Chinese culture, for the 167th anniversary of the big migration of this ethnic group to Cuba, and it will be provided with the presence of Miss Gan Ping and Miss Wang Yue, respectively Cultural Adviser and official of the Cultural Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic China in Cuba.
Also for remembering the 500 years of the cultural meet that supposed the foundation in February, 1514 of the Villa de Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe, the event will establish core topics in its theoretical sessions, talking about a different region that includes the European heredities, of Asia and Middle East, The Caribbean and Africa.
