In celebration of World Environment Day, the Territorial Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), which oversees best practices in green spaces in Camagüey, granted awards to entities and individuals with outstanding contributions to the care and preservation of the ecosystem in the region.

The province stands out in its dedication to environmental sustainability, protecting its biological diversity through the restoration and enrichment of its forest heritage.

As part of the scientific tour to Cuba, specialists from the Territorial Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma) in Camagüey, and from the Environmental Research Center (Cimac), accompany the two-day tour that develops along the coasts of this province.

 The news fills the people of Camagüey with pride. The Academy of Sciences has just awarded its 2021 award in the technical sciences section to work related to the influence of architectural and urban design on the internal thermal environment and energy consumption in the climatic conditions of Cuba, with emphasis on buildings non-residential, such as hotels, administrative and service facilities, agencies and schools, among others.

Seven projects, certified as Provincial Citma Award for the result of remarkable research, for their contribution to the country’s scientific heritage and to the national economy, endorse the distinction earned by the University of Camagüey to deserve the seat of the provincial act for the Day of Cuban Science to be celebrated the next January 15.

Carlos J. Finlay, un siglo de gloria(a century of glory) is the name of the exposition inaugurated yesterday in the birth home of the relevant Camagüeyan doctor, as the beginning of the schedule for the Day of Cuban Science, organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment(Citma, Spanish Acronym) in our province, that coincides this December 3^rd with the Day of Latin American Medicine.

Cuba''s first deputy minister of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma), Fernando González, will visit the United States on December 20th and 21st, the National foreign ministry confirmed today.
