CAMAGÜEY.- The trova festival Canto Adentro, organized by the Hermanos Saíz Association in this city, ended last night with a concert in honor to Fidel Castro in the centric park El Gallo.

“Fidel’s age is the age of the blooming Gulmohar because heroes have no age, they have history, they are history”, was the expression of the girl of the Artistic Group Arlequín when reciting a poetic prose devoted to the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution.

Trova players from Villa Clara, Las Tunas and Camagüey and actors and dance students from the Vocational Art School Luis Casas Romero shared time for an hour.

“To remember Fidel we do not have to mention his name. It is enough to remember his ideas”, said Grabiel Castillo before narrating a story related to education, family and patriotic sense in the Puerto Príncipe from the XIX century, now Camagüey.

As closure, Miguel Ángel de la Rosa, member of the project La Trovuntivitis, invited the trovadors that he had shared with during Canto adentro, to interpret “La leyenda del tiempo”, a poem by Federico García Lorca.

Although modest, this edition of the festival enabled trova concerts in the Home of the Young Creator and the Music Conservatory José White, and a live painting by visual arts artists at the seat of the Hermanos Saíz Association.
