CAMAGÜEY.- The X edition of the Art Festival will involve professors and students in artistic education from November 11 to the 15, in this city, where they maintain an active presence within the cultural scenery.
The Arts Academy Vicentina de la Torre is the protagonist in the organization of this annual event, and it counts with the participation of students from the conservatory José White and the Arts Vocational School Luis Casas Romero (EVA, Spanish acronym).
The Festival will start simultaneously in the three schools with special morning meetings; and the general program will include the presentations of the Camagüey Contemporary Ballet and the company Teatro del Viento.
Among the propositions, it points out the artistic parade “Somos Cuba, Somos Continuidad”, the opening of the Students Hall in the Gallery Alejo Carpentier on day 12, at 11:00 a.m. and the Music Performance Contest for students of elementary level, among other attractive proposals.
As a proposal of the students of the Conservatory, there will be a community parade on day 13 at 9:00 a.m. headed to the School City to return with all the possible audience to the “José White”, to offer in its facilities from 10:00 a.m. the Music Festival Dando la nota.
The 2019 Arts Festival will pay tribute to the 40th Anniversary of the EVA in Camagüey, to the maestro orge Luis Pérez Callejas and the 20 years of Teatro del Viento, a group of great national and international prestige, linked to the learning process in the “Vicentina”.
The Principal Theater will host on day 15 the closing and award gala for the best works, affirmed for Adelante Digital Hedel Toledo Basset, member of the Provincial Culture Direction in the territory.
