HAVANA, Cuba.-(acn) With the arrival of 130 Italian travelers on January 1st at the Ignacio Agramonte International Airport of Camagüey, the link between that city and Italy -one of the main countries sending tourists to this eastern province- was resumed after over a decade without flights between these destinations.

Guatemala.- Representatives of member countries of the Central American Integration System (SICA, in Spanish) are discussing today in Guatemala possible solutions for the situation around Cuban migrants stranded in Costa Rica.


Camagüey.- This year, the province of Camagüey destined more than 600 thousand pesos for the continuity of the program of repair and maintenance of nursing homes and grandparents' houses (facilities where old people stay during the day and conduct activities together), with the aim of raising the comfort and quality of life in these facilities.


Havana.- Chaired by its First Secretary Raúl Castro, the 12th Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC, in Spanish) evaluated the proposal of conceptualization of the Economic and Social Cuban model of Socialist Development, reports today the journal Granma.
