CAMAGÜEY.- The Provincial Assembly of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS), prior to the 4th Congress of the organization, earned all possible praise from the main political authorities of the territory, as well as from the visitors who participated this Sunday in the Santa Cecilia Convention Center.

Cataloged as dignified, focused on creation, with precise intelligent interventions and useful proposals, it not only served to close the stage of Ihordan Torres Hernández as president of the subsidiary, and to elect José Xavier Guerra Carmenates to the position, but also showed the desire of the young creators from Camagüey to consolidate a better organization.

After five years at the head of the AHS in Camagüey, Ihordan said goodbye as a member when he turned 35 years old. Different institutions and mass organizations in the province did not want to miss the opportunity to give him gifts and recognition for his work during this time, where he stood out as a leader in the defense and promotion of art.

Xavier, a member of the Promotion section, was serving as vice president, and now he will have the responsibility of continuing and enriching the work of his predecessors. To help him will be the executive made up of the heads of sections and the elected vice presidents Jildo Borrel and Heidy Almarales.

"I thank the associates for the trust placed in me, the presidencies that precede me have left their mark and the challenge is very great. I urge everyone to continue using the House of the Young Creator as that space to dream and make art", Xavier commented to Adelante Digital.

Promoting the growth of the membership, the link with institutions and the exchange with the public that consumes the art presented by the organization, were some of the approaches addressed by the associates and guests.

Carmen Olazábal, from the Promotion section, also highlighted the growth of the Department of Communication during the last term and proposed making Senda magazine a serial publication with a greater circulation of copies.

The journalist Ailen Vargas, from the Florida cell, highlighted the cultural potential of that municipality and the need for an audiovisual space that makes visible the many activities that take place there.

The rapper Lecner Zúñiga, organizer of the clubs La Guarida del Rap and the Trackean2 Festival, thanked the support of the AHS of Camagüey in promoting a genre like hip hop. He also referred to the importance of making it easier for artists to enter the catalog of the Provincial Center for Music.

Heidy Almarales, head of the Visual Arts section, called for "updating and contextualizing ourselves to be an organization more in line with the youth of these times."

For her part, Lia Montalvan, head of the Visual Arts section, highlighted the links with the Vicentina de la Torre Academy of Arts, as a natural quarry that nurtures new talent.

"I have no doubts that your work contributes to train young people, we are certain that with the AHS the present is consolidated and the future built," said Federico Hernández Hernández, first Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province.

During the act, new members were also granted the card that accredits them as associates, and the delegates who will represent Camagüey in the 4th Congress of the Association, scheduled for the month of October in Havana, were elected.
