CAMAGÜEY.- In the Camagüey’s territory, a new case positive for the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus has been identified and released by the country’s highest health authorities at a press conference.
The citizen is a 33-year-old Cuban resident in the Camagüey municipality who was admitted to the “Amalia Simoni” Hospital in the town because he was a contact in one of the confirmed cases.
According to the information offered at the press conference, the patient began with symptoms on the 21st of this month, for which reason 12 people who were in contact with the citizen are kept under surveillance.
The man from Camagüey is one of the 13 new cases diagnosed this Thursday with the COVID-19 disease in the country, a fact that brings the number of patients who have contracted the virus to the national territory to 80.
At the press conference it was also reported that the 38-year-old Cuban citizen, admitted to the “Octavio de la Concepción” Hospital, in the province of Camagüey with 13 days of evolution, remains reported seriously.
