CAMAGÜEY.- The University Students Federation (FEU, Spanish acronym) in the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, in a joint work with the University of Medical Sciences Carlos J. Finlay, will develop a broad number of activities on December to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the creation of the oldest organization for the young in Cuba.
The celebrations will have as main course an act on Monday, December 9 in this institution and a National Cultural Gala, at 9:00 in the night on day 11 in the Avellaneda Theater, which will serve to grant the prizes “Alma Mater”, “Tiza de Oro” (Chalk of Gold) and “A un Futuro Maestro” (To a Future Teacher),, the recognition “Con Cuba” (With Cuba) and another awards to integral vanguards of the FEU.
During this celebration, the FEU in the Camagüeyan University will also organize the University Carnival from December 9 to 12.
The schedule of activities, that will cover up to December 20th, also comprehends performances and book sales, gastronomic fairs, sports matches, meetings with famous athletes, maintenance of squares and historic landmarks, agrarian fairs, exhibits by faculties, lectures, performances of amateur artists and gatherings with students of the Middle School Students Federation.
