CAMAGÜEY.- The XI National Biennial of Small Format, organized by the Project eJo, will reach the audience of this city from December 4 to 7, now in honor to the memory of its founder and author Julio Hernández Figueredo, who passed away in August.

The main hall will open on day 4 at 9:00 p.m. in the seat of eJo, where it is scheduled for the next day, the posthumous tribute to the work of Julio, with a retrospective exposition and a gala in charge of Gabriel Castillo and oral story-tellers, among other artists.

The event will count 15 guests and the participation of 17 cultural institutions functioning as jury to evaluate the 87 pieces by artists of several provinces, which will allow to bring together pieces of modeled visual arts using different techniques with dimensions up to 10 inches.

The associated expositions will take place in the gallery Alejo Carpentier, Fidelio Ponce and La nueva musa in the Provincial Library Julio Antonio Mella, said to the press Omar González Catá, president of the organizing committee, and announced the performance of the musical groups Intempore, Apiacere, American’s Band and Son Entero.

The Camagüeyan artist Oscar Jr Rodríguez Martínez will participate as jury and will exhibit over 40 abstractions in the personal sample entitled Palíndromos, in the Gallery at 289 República Street from December 6 at 8:30 p.m.

The Biennial will insert the students of the Arts Academy Vicentina de la Torre, as a timely encounter between artists and audience to elevate the culture os society, commented to Adelante Digital the also professor Oscar Jr.

Personalities of visual arts will exhibit curious pieces in the collective sample Grandes que hacen pequeño, and will spend time with guests from Ciego de Ávila, Sancti Spíritus, Las Tunas, Guantánamo and Havana, in the morning and night spaces of the event.
