The new leading article of the American newspaper entitled "The Shifting Politics of Cuba Policy ", was anticipated in the digital edition of last Saturday to the printed one that circulated this Sunday. Titled similar articles: "Obama Should End the Embargo on Cuba" and "Cuba’s Impressive Role on Ebola", circulated on October 12th and 20th, respectively, with the intention of requesting the president Obama the cessation of the genocidal harassment before the clear international pressure.

The publication remembers that the chief of the White House when was a candidate for the Senate in the year 2004, was in favor of the abolition of the embargo to the island and later, during his presidential climb, he retracted because by "hardening", he thought that his government would exercise more pressure on Cuba, something that up to the political advisers of Obama today considers was a wrong decision due to the opportunities that the island might offer today to the North American businessmen.

The economic, commercial and financial siege that for 55 years exercises the United States against the Revolution of 1959 of Fidel Castro, since the beginning until today, tries to asphyxiate the Cuban people by means of the famine, desperation and, through the popular dissatisfaction, to provoke the overthrow of the Revolutionary Government, with the damage of third countries when trying to negotiate with the island, in frank violation of the international rights.

In 22 occasions Cuba has defended in the tribunes of the United Nations the Resolution 68/8 on the Need to finishing this subhuman blockade. The most recent voting took place last year when 188 countries of 193 member states, sentenced this archaic American repressive politics.

Not only sensible and excellent personalities of the world have sent letters and messages to the Nobel Peace Prize winner so that, with a pen stroke from the White House, he raises the obstinate and criminal embargo to Cuba, but important regional organisms and countries in their respective forums reject the blockade as the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States celebrated in January in Havana, the VIth Summit of the States of the Caribbean Sea (April, 2014), the Ministerial Conference of the Nonaligned Countries (May, 2014), the Extraordinary Summit of the Group of the 77 and China (June, 2014) and the meeting of the Heads of state and of Government of the African Union (June, 2014).

Anayansi Rodríguez, Ambassadress of Cuba to the international organisms with head office in Geneva, wraps up to request the United States to listen to the world demand so that it puts an end to the unjust blockade and denounced that Washington keeps the Section 211 in which it seeks protection to affect the ambience of the intellectual property and to endorse the theft of recognized Cuban trade marks as the Havana Club rum.

This Tuesday, October 28th, Cuba, will return to the podium of the United Nations to defend -for 23 times- the resolution to put an end to the blockade, and, with entire certainty the majority of the world will endorse the reason of the small island that, before the biggest universal empire, resists the longest and genocidal siege that has never existed in the history of humanity.
