This Tuesday, the US government removed Cuba from the spurious list of states that they claim sponsor terrorism, a measure that Washington had maintained since January 12, 2021, when then-president Donald Trump signed it.
The certification, which revokes the designation of Cuba on the aforementioned list, was signed by the outgoing US President, Joe Biden, and published by the White House "in accordance with the Constitution and laws" of that American country.
The outgoing president also suspended the ability of US citizens to sue in the courts of the United States for the expropriation of their properties in Cuba and lifted some financial sanctions decreed by the previous administration.
Democrat Joe Biden, who ends his term in a week, promised to change his policy toward Cuba during his 2020 campaign.
