The forum is being held at the Havana's Conference Center with the participation of delegates from Venezuela, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Denmark, Angola, the United States, Puerto Rico, and about 50 Cuban experts.

The previous issues will be discussed at a round table on Critical Anthropology by Chilean Rodrigo Sepulveda and Venezuelan Benjamin Martinez, respectively.

Another of the program's issues will deal with political Anthropology and the updating of the Cuban economic model.

The meeting will also debate, among other subjects, the study of indigenous groups in the western Cuban region.

Anthropos 2015 was convened by the Anthropological Museum, the Luis Montane Anthropology Department, of the Biology Faculty at the University of Havana, and the Cuban Society of Biological Anthropology.

The objective of the event, running until Thursday, March 12, is to promote communication and cooperation among professionals of this field, as well as analyze current issues concerning human society related to Archaeology and Anthropology.

The Latin American Association of Biological Anthropology, the Cuban Anthropological Institute, the Fernando Ortiz Foundation, the Cuban United Nations Association, the National Council of Cultural Heritage and others forum, are sponsoring the forum.
