CAMAGÜEY.- A new report of up-to-date data on the range of emissions of greenhouse gases was developed by Cuban scientists for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 2020, reported Prensa Latina (PL).

According to the agency, it is the commitments of Cuba to confront global warming and includes measures to placate it and adapt to this, as well as other related to education and technology.

The major threats to the Cuban archipelago are the increase in the sea level and the temperature of the air; the increase in the hydro meteorological extremes and the decrease in rainfall.

For these reasons are put into practice measures for socio-economic sectors, natural sources and strategic ecosystems involving climate change, water resources and coastal marine environments.

With a sustained work of 25 years, the country will be prepared in the Task life, a project that will show results in the short, medium and long term, up to the year 2100.
