CAMAGÜEY.- One of the national candidates for the confrontation with Sars-CoV-2, Abdala, reaches the arms of workers of the tourism system in the province as part of the health intervention that is being developed in the country.

At this first moment, all those who are linked to the so-called Red Zones were prioritized, and which include the Islazul, Cubanacán and the Empresa Campismo Popular hotel chains, in whose facilities from international travelers to cases of autochthonous transmission are received.

Edel Carmenates Ramírez, director of the Islazul branch, outlined that the process began in the Isla de Cuba, Puerto Principe and Plaza hotels, and this will benefit just over a hundred people who contribute, with their dedication, to the success of the development of a complex and very dangerous task.

For Mártir Hernández, a "lunchero" on the "Island of Cuba", this action "is important, because with this we have a better chance of facing any possible contagion, both in the workplace and at home."

After concluding the regulatory period of observation, Nérida Valdés rejoined her work as a waitress. "All good, I don't feel anything, although yes, I feel happy because they gave us priority, and so we know that, with the vaccine and personal concern, we are also able to protect the family."

"Our group has responded positively, since the 23 planned accepted, aware that it is an essential step, especially when we are exposed to contracting the virus," said Merlies Pestana Hernández, director of the Isla de Cuba enclave, while waiting for her turn to receive the starting dose.

According to the specialists consulted, no events that indicated severe reactions were observed, and a normal physical state was appreciated in all those vaccinated.
