GUÁIMARO, CAMAGÜEY.- A small plant for producing ice cream was settled in the dairy combined Geonel Rodríguez Cordoví, in Martí, in this eastern municipality in Camagüey province.
The new industry adds to others of the same kind that already exist in Nuevitas, Sibanicú, Florida, and Santa Cruz del Sur, claimed Alexis Gil, director of Camagüey Dairy Company.
Among the immediate perspectives, pointed out the executive, is the set up of similar facilities in Vertientes and Jimaguayú, which add up to Coppelia, the one with greater capacity in the province.
With this entity starting to produce, the always growing consumption of this enjoyed food is taken care of, and it prevents from having to bring them from other territories, with the consequent saving of transportation resources, and avoids any damage to the quality.
The modern facility is able to deliver, as of now, about 100 daily gallons, that is issued to several commercial commitments in different formats and variety in flavors, which include, among others, chocolate, strawberry and coconut.
