CAMAGÜEY.- With an index of 2.17 deaths per thousand children under one year of age born alive, this municipality of Camagüey concluded the first semester of this year.

According to the Public Health Directorate, there are three infant deaths reported in the territory, belonging to the East, Rodolfo Ramírez Esquivel and Joaquín de Agüero polyclinics.

It was known that up to the end of June in the capital of Camagüey there were around 1 400 births, with a decrease in the birth rate in relation to the same period of the previous year.

The low birth weight was present in 76 live births, lower than the same stage of 2018, with better results in the areas of Health Ignacio Agramonte, Previsora, Julio Antonio Mella and Tula Aguilera.
