CAMAGÜEY.-The Young Club of Computer and Electronics (JCCE) in the province of Camagüey maintain the premise of extending this year access to other public, through a program of technological literacy, which begins in the current month.

The institution, belonging to the Ministry of Communications, shows results in the provision of its services in some rural areas of the territory, created on the initiative of the Provincial Assembly of People’s Power and with the coordination of the Directorate of Transportation to that instance.

Jessica Aguila Rodríguez, specialist in institutional communication of the Young Club in the territory, said to the ACN that next Thursday will begin the program for the municipality of Vertientes, the largest in territory and the first in the province to develop with these kinds of training actions, and by having created all the necessary conditions.

The same day will be the accreditation of the Brigade of Technological Literacy, whose members come out to the most intricate communities in the fields with identification, stickers, loose and folding, as part of the dissemination of the project.

For the success of technological literacy in the southern region, said Aguila Rodríguez, technological equipment is guaranteed with tablets, and cellular, and several applications for different uses, in addition to the backpack, and didactic games, in order to enhance the ways in which these technologies are used.

The aforementioned program, which will take place for a month, seeks to benefit people with disabilities, elderly, low-income people and the penal population.

According to the source, in Camagüey a diagnosis of other demarcations is made to know the needs of digital literacy of the population.


They also form a collaborative work team that involves the directorates of Education and Culture, the School of Informatics of the University of Camagüey, ETECSA, the Associations of People with Physical and Motor disabilities, the Ministry of the Interior and mass organizations to reach a greater number of people.
