CAMAGÜEY. – His Highness Mister, Patrice Paoli, ambassador of France in Cuba, executed his first work visit out of the capital, this Thursday, in which he exchanged with the Council of Direction of the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, on the opening of new bonds of cooperation between this center and institutions of the European nation.
“After five months in the charge, the intention of this first meeting was to recapture the desires to open ways of collaboration between my country and this university on the subject of scientific exchange, education of the French language, mobility of teachers and students and forms of study of short cycle”, told the ambassador in his dialogue with the managers.
For his part, Ph. D. Santiago Lajes Choy, rector of the University of Camagüey, was grateful for the new opportunities that the visitor put on the table and in a presentation on the characteristics of this center he informed, also, about the fortitude that they can serve as point of view to initiate the cooperation.
Lajes Choy explained, the same way, the lines of investigation of the UC, the impact of its results in the socioeconomic development of the province and Cuba, the products and services that the institution can export as the biotechnological vegetable material, the designs of metallic molds for the construction of buildings and housings and the devices that contibute to the health and the rice industry, among others.
The stay in the University of Camagüey of the French ambassador in Cuba Patrice Paoli, is part of a trip that includes also his arrival, in the later days, to other entities of the province of Holguín and to the French Alliance with head office in Santiago de Cuba.
