CAMAGÜEY. -With the objective to humanize the work of the producers of the cattle sector of this province, and to raise the quality of the milk, at present 64 systems of mechanical milking work in several municipalities of this territory.
Reinaldo Martínez González, specialist of cattle in the territory´s delegation of the Department of the Agriculture, affirmed that up to the date there have been prioritized the entities of the cooperative and rural sector that integrate the millionaire movement of the milk.
Since we begin the assembly process in the beginnings of the year, he said, we distribute this technology in the principal units that belong to the Cuenca Lechera and to this sector, that of major contribution of the food.
As he told, the municipality of Jimaguayú is the territory with major availability of the said systems, since the installed teams promote 28 and in functioning continued by other 25 in cooperatives located in agricultural areas of the surroundings of the provincial capital.
Those are joined, in minor measurement, by the municipalities of Vertientes, Guáimaro and Najasa, since the principal disadvantages so that the rhythm hastens in this mechanization it is the insufficient materials allocation, mainly of steel and roofs, puzzles and toggles, necessary to reconstruct the milking rooms, and the rest of the buildings.
Among the main benefits of the use of the systems of mechanical milking over the traditional technique, Martínez González emphasized that the harmlessness of the food increases.
After there is not the udder of the cow exposed to the pollutant factors of the ambience, better hygiene levels are guaranteed in the process, and therefore in the quality of the food, the specialist affirmed.
The implementation of this technology will affect directly the productive chaining between the field and the industry, motive for which the final aspiration is to fulfill the installation of 126 teams assigned by the Department of the Agriculture to the Camagüey province, that of major cattle tradition of the country.
