CAMAGÜEY. - The University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz has among its priorities for this school year the development of scientific studies of high impact through the collaboration with several countries. The investigations answer to the need to continue the improvement and advance of the science policy in the Cuban university.
To the enlargement of programs of doctorates and masters, the publications in specialized magazines of science and the agreements with centers of high studies of other latitudes, are joined by the approval of the Mariposario, a project that they develop together with the Program of the United Nations for the Development and that will have its space in the Botanical Garden of the city.
In accordance with Pablo Galindo Llanes, vice-rector of Investigations and Postgraduate courses in the center, the execution of the work will be possible also thanks to the work relations between the university and the authorities of the government and the party in the province.
The new teaching calendar will be marked also by the continuity of the course of preparation and self-improvement of the leaders of the managerial sector, in all the questions referred to the legislation. “A task of big importance that already has positive results and for that we hope be improved in the stage”, mentioned Galindo Llanes.
The first university founded on Cuba after the victory of the Revolution has specified approximately 130 agreements with other nations and has graduated more than 74 thousand professionals, of them a thousand 500 foreigners of 77 nationalities. The challenge for 2019 is to continue with the improving process and to develop the relations of the University of Camagüey beyond the limits of the national territory.
