CAMAGÜEY.- The investments of the Electrical Company in Camagüey, with an ascending budget to more than 29 millions pesos for 2018, advance favorably. Among other intentions, they intend to eliminate illegal lines, to electrify rural establishments and to assure energy to works of the tourism in the north keys.

The engineer Rolando González Rodríguez, the director of investments of the entity, added to previous the commitments to finish soon the solar park in construction in the Minas´ town of Lugareño, the rehabilitation of lines of the national electro-energetic system of 110 Kv and the electrification of 10 000 isolated houses.

Camagüey has three functioning photovoltaic parks: in Guáimaro, in periphery of the provincial head and in Imías, Sierra de Cubitas, the last one finished with 8 600 panels, considered the biggest of the territory and a potential capacity of 2.2 Megawatts.

The program of renewable sources of energy predicts for the present year the conclusion of the Lugareño´s work, the civil part of the enclave of Lesca, in phase of movement of ground and foundation, and the installation of the panels at the beginning of 2019. At the end of next September there is projected the beginning of the execution of the solar park to be located in the precincts of Mechanical Plant.

Of two rural establishments to be electrified - La Veguera, in Guáimaro and La Veguita, in Esmeralda - the first one was declared as concluded with benefits to settlers of approximately 60 houses, according to the information contributed by the source.

Investments of the Company Azcuba and of the Agriculture are included also in the plans of this year. Especially in the second sector of the agricultural economy 50 facilities extended today to 72 were projected, for progress in the irrigation systems for different croops and cattle executed by approximately eight brigades that alternate these works with actions of improvement of voltage and rehabilitation of networks.
