The science fiction and the fantastic literature offer the possibility of adding public, demonstrated the participants during the first talk of this event of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS), foreseen until August 13th.
“We are in a good moment for the genre in Cuba, although the critics consider it to be minor. An anxious public exists for this literature”, said the narrator Víctor Hugo Pérez Gallo, one of the 60 delegates.
The also essayist shared four moments that attributes to the science fiction in the country, since the middle of the XXth century, and emphasized in the last stage, since middle of the nineties, for the publishing stimulus and the reinforcement of the national profile.
“The science fiction has been capable of predicting the technological advances¨ added the winner of the Contest of science fiction Hidra, convened by the magazine Juventud Técnica in 2013.
Pérez Gallo read a fragment of his awarded text Los endemoniados de Yaguaramas (Publishing House Abril, 2014), where Camagüey appears as the capital of the country, and Ignacio Agramonte, héroe epónimo de la provincia, no ha muerto.
Among the details of the process of making of the book he highlighted the files consultation in this city, Bayamo, Havana and Madrid, and announced the achievement of a documentary in Santiago de Cuba, from his literary project.
To the reading there joined the narrator Jhortensia Espineta and the poets Yosvel González and Jesus Zamora, and the interpretations of the troubadors Ramón David and Daniel Velázquez, both from Las Tunas.
In the opening of La Cruzada, Yunielkis Naranjo, president of the subsidiary of the AHS, emphasized the example of Esther Montes de Oca, mother of the Saíz Brothers, who is 105 years.
The "cruzados", as the delegates identify themselves, will travel on Saturday to Sierra de Cubitas, on Sunday to Nuevitas and on Monday to Guáimaro; with the baggage full with narrative, poetry, orality and trova, among other actions conceived for the city of Camagüey.
