CAMAGÜEY.- The La Andariega Dance Theater Company, once again has the opportunity to show Camagüey's culture in Mexico, participating from August 16th to 29th in the third edition of the international children's theater festival "Chavito festín" in the Mexican city of Nezahualcóyotl.
Among the proposals that they bring to the public are Un pastel de chocolate, original by the Camagüey's writer Niurkis Pérez, as their first presentation on Sunday 18th, and the dance show Vengo de andar, dedicated to the poetic work of Nicolás Guillén.
Leonardo Richard Rodríguez García, director of La Andariega, referred to the importance of developing events of this type to promote theatrical creation made by children for children and allow cultural exchange with other groups.
Twelve La Andariega's members put their dreams on the stage to highlight the strength and dedication of so many children who have grown up with La Andariega, in almost 30 years of artistic creation. In addition to reflecting, together with the Abrakadabra Children's Musical Theater Company from Cienfuegos, also invited to the festival, the nuances and richness of culture in Cuba.
