CAMAGÜEY.- The Celebration Days of Cuban Culture, usually from October 10 to 20, will be an opportunity in this territory to celebrate identity with a program of artistic presentations and community initiatives.

It will happen at unusual times because the national complexity of the electricity service influences that; hence the morning and afternoon programming in open spaces, generally.

This edition is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Nueva Trova Movement and the 55th anniversary of the Protest Song and the 60th anniversary of the artistic education system, and of those, the 55th anniversary of the beginning in Camagüey.

As for the personalities focused, the 120th anniversary of the birth of the writer Nicolás Guillén and the painter Marcelo Pogolotti will stand out; and the centenary of the poets Jesús Orta Ruiz “El Indio Naborí” and Carilda Oliver, the politician Haydée Santamaría and the musician César Portillo.

The opening of the Celebrations on the 10th will be in Agramonte Park with a gala planned at 8:00 p.m., although during the day there will be options related to music and literature.

The Provincial Book and Literature Center will offer news from Editorial Ácana and for children, it will present the series "Cuquitas de Ileana", among other materials to support teaching, produced by its Creation Office.

The Performing Arts Council will promote the tenth birthday of the Teatro de Luz group. That company will present the street show Contrarreloj, with an environmental theme, on the 10th at 9:00 a.m. in the Plaza de los Trabajadores; and on the 17th at 3:00 p.m. will preview Malditos, in the Golden Age room.

The Folkloric Ballet will perform on the 14th at 6:00 p.m. in Christ Park; the Circo Areíto and the Cuban Theater of Magic will arrive in communities on the 15th; and the Contemporary Ballet will dance at the Teatro Principal, 20, 21, and 22 at 5:30 p.m.

The Music Center will highlight concert music, peasant music, and new trova in its proposals at the headquarters of the Symphony Orchestra, the TradiCuba Cabaret, and the Patricio Ballagas Trova house, respectively.

Lídice Cruzata, director of the Symphony, recommended the day of concerts, 12 and 13 in the Callejón de Finlay number 4 high, where they will combine a program of theoretical exchange, screening of documentaries and repertoire performed by different groups with the involvement of music students.

The system of Houses of Culture will develop the 3rd Echoes of Cobblestones Event, dedicated to the instructor Idania Mirón, on the 14th at the House of Culture Ignacio Agramonte; and on the 15th, the Provincial Popular Art Fair at the Casino Campestre.

The José Martí Brigade will also celebrate the 18th anniversary of its constitution, for that reason, it will activate its Cultural Guerrilla in all municipalities to accompany its fans in the neighborhoods and in close ties with the promoters.

Another anniversary organization is the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) which, as a salute to its 36th birthday, designed a program in alliance with institutions such as the Office of the City Historian, at whose headquarters, on the 20th, at 5:00 p.m., it will inaugurate a collective sample of young people with the condition of associates.

The House of the Young Creator will open for rock concerts (13), rap (15), hip hop competition with dancers from Ciego de Ávila (16), the AHS anniversary show (18), and the Vocation duo concert ( 19), among other options.

The socio-cultural project Golpe a Golpe and the Cine en Los Barrios brigade will be presented every night in communities of the city of Camagüey, far from the cultural epicenter.

For its part, the Film Center adds to its billboard based on the dedications of the Day, since the premiere in the Nuevo Mundo room of the film Blonde, starring the Cuban actress Ana de Armas, 14, 15, and 16, in batches from 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Among the suggestions of the Plastic Arts Council is a discussion about Félix González Torres (1957-1996), a native of Guáimaro; and a revisit to the personal exhibition Mística de lo immóvil (Auction), by Oscar Jr. Rodríguez at the Alejo Carpentier Gallery.

"We will carry out the Conference under complicated circumstances, but with the intention that it reaches the entire population of Camagüey so that they can enjoy it," Tamira González, provincial director of Culture, told the press.
