But the kitchen is also an art and as in other years, the Culinary Association of Camagüey (ACC) was present there, with varied actions that help raising the popular knowledge, especially on the making of local, Cuban plates and from other parts of the world.

In official documents of the Fiesta … never appear anything of the culinary practices, which is not fair, nevertheless each of the five days of celebrations, and very next to the restaurant La Paella, in the Libertad Avenue, specialists of the ACC offered luscious conferences on native and foreign meals, between them the Italian, the Chinese and the Haitian.

Among the conferences there were highlighted those of the teacher Nicanor Rodríguez and the chef Ernesto Rodríguez, from the private restaurant La Herradura, on the making of fish and seafood.

Another chat was that of the international chef Luis Alberto González, on the introduction in Cuba of the Italian cuisine and the changes suffered here throughout the years.

All the conferences were accompanied by an exhibition and sale of the mentioned plates, prepared by students of the ACC, and of permanent form they sold specialized cookbooks, which had big demand amon the presents.

And on Sunday, like closing, they wraped up with a exhibit of Techniques of lounge, and the prize-giving ceremony to the best lecturers.
