CAMAGÜEY. - Roger Rodríguez Martín is a laborious and obliging young man who dedicates his professional competences in the ambiences of the computer science and the social communication to promote the Camagüey´s cultural processes.
For three years he gave classes to Library Science students in the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, and then he worked as journalist in Radio Cadena Agramonte.
“I checked materials and wrote for programs as Camagüey a Day, Meridian, the Orbit Newscaster and the Provincial Newscaster of Radio. There were of big worth the educations of Manuel Cano Iglesias and Rosa María Moros. Everything what I am I owe it to them to my times in the radio”, he summarizes for Adelante Digital.
From 2008, he began as content specialist in the field of Computer Science of the Provincial Direction of Culture, under the tutelage of Nellys Carmenates Coello: "She trusted in me and always urged me to excel myself”, he emphasizes.
Roger was already when Cultural Portal Prince gained the award La Palma Digital 2010 granted for the first time by Cubarte, the governing organization of the computer science in the Cuban Culture, as praise to the content, the design, the creativity and the functionality.
“Portal Prince is in redesign process for a surer platform and according to the design tendencies and utility in the web. My work goes to the information architecture. When the place is implemented, I will be in charge of uploading the content (text and images), and supporting its perennial update”, he tells.
Undoubtedly, he has been a prop in these twelve years of management of news, portraits, images and tracks of the artistic, literary panorama and, in general, of the spiritual patrimony of the territory.
“I keep on dealing with the accounts in social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, in close work with the institutions, the centers, the councils and the Department of Communication and Development of the Provincial Direction of Culture”, he emphasizes.
During the committal stage one finds him often in the social networks like river bed of the chore of artists, writers and institutions, and like guarantor of the stable presence of his labor center.
“In Facebook there have been published videos, images and texts that reflect the best of the Camagüey´s and Cuban culture as option of healthy entertainment and of cultural promotion in full social isolation”, he mentions.
For the publications they emphasize as its main sources the Provincial Center of Patrimony, the Provincial Museum Ignacio Agramonte, the Provincial Library Julio Antonio Mella, the Provincial Council of Plastic Arts, the Sociocultural Project eJo and the Provincial Center of the Music and the Spectacles.
“We share from Twitter concerts online, actions of reading promotion, the commemoration of anniversary and messages of the Cuban creators, related to the measurements faced to fight the pandemic”, he adds.
In the Youtube topic he is useful to suggest the audiovisual materials dedicated to theater players, artists of the plastic arts, writers, musicians, humorists and to the artistic education, spread by the channel Provincial Culture Camagüey.
“We support a fruitful work in team, between the Press office and the Area of Computer science, as with producers and artists who with these new circumstances keep on contributing their good art in favor of the Cuban culture with the maxim of #QuédateEnCasa, he concludes.
