CAMAGÜEY.- The Provincial Center of Books and Literature could not choose a better date for the reopening of the Vietnam Ateneo bookstore than the date of August 13, on the occasion of the 93rd birthday of the unforgettable Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.
Yuinielkis Naranjo Guerra, director of that cultural institution, said that that house of books, which remained inactive for a little over two months, reopened with better comfort and other amenities such as the projected conference room for the exchange in the literary field.
The researcher at the Nicolás Guillén Research Center, Angela Benítez Quevedo, was in charge of the presentation of the book: "Hasta siempre Fidel", a magnificent semblance in images of what happened in Cuba with the physical loss of Fidel in November 2016 and the spontaneous gesture, throughout the country, of the grateful people who honored him during his funeral honors.
The speaker explained that the work, with a visual magnetism, puts us in front of the value of the symbol and returns us to Fidel intact in the memory of all of us beyond the border of the nation.
The ceremony brought together executives of the provincial culture department, representations of the Association Hermanos Saiz, the Uneac, the Camagüey’s Branch of the José Martí Cultural Society and members of the Crusade, very active in this summer stage
The bookstore, located on Republica Street, in front of the central La Quincallera store, will operate from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm every day, except Sundays at the same opening hours, but until 1: 00 in the afternoon.
