The National Directorate of Cuban Baseball announced the 28 members of Granma team that will represent the country in the Caribbean Series of Culiacán 2017, in early February.

Camaguey defeated 1-0 Ciego de Avila, with win for Arbelio Quiroz (5-6) and loss to Vladimir Garcia (10-3), while Yariel Rodríguez earned his second save of the season.

The ballparks Victoria de Giron, in Matanzas province; José Ramón Cepero (Ciego de Avila) and Martires de Barbados (Granma) will today host the first matches of the second stage of the 56th Cuban Baseball National Series.

Camagüey became the fifth team with a ticket to the second phase of the Cuban baseball championship in its 56th edition when beating 6-4 Las Tunas, winning thus 2-1 the wild card series.
