CAMAGÜEY.- The literary Café La Comarca celebrates its first 10 years today, during which it has shown its vitality in the promotion of Camagüeyan writers and Cuban culture in general.
For those who have not stopped by these days, the photo confirms part of the new furniture provided by the Book and Literature Provincial Center in their unconditional support to the Hermanos Saíz Association.
Since April, La Comarca is the official seat of the Sociocultural Project Golpe a Golpe, but even as a dream boosted by Yunielkis Naranjo Guerra, there was already room for events, time outs, talks, hugs…
We congratulate the workers of the House of the Young Creator, for six straight years they have, as a collective, earned the condition of national vanguard, among them the caring librarian Xiomara Escobar.
We thank the assistance of the Municipal Gastronomic Company, in spite of certain differences, and among its workers, we particularly praise the clerks Ernesto Pacheco, Felipe Basulto and Miguel Arturo Pérez, for their decency and hard work.
The activity for the celebration of the birthday is scheduled for this Sunday at 8:30 in the night, which will be attended by the friends, accomplices and collaborators of so many years.
For the young creator and his/her audience, the doors are still open, because this is the reason for the growth of other literary cafés in the province of Camagüey. Congratulations.
