CAMAGÜEY.- Julio César La Cruz, a semi-complete athlete from Agramontino, will be looking for his third crown in the boxing tournaments of the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.
La Cruz, Olympic champion in Rio de Janeiro 2016 and four times holder of the orb in the 81 kilograms, will defend in the Peruvian capital the strips obtained in Guadalajara 2011 and Toronto 2015.
In the Antillean squad in addition to Julio César La Cruz, there are two other Camaguey Damián Arce and Dainier Peró who in Lima will make their debut in these games.
Arce will be the boxer of Cuba in the 49 kilograms, weight where in Toronto the also Camaguey Yosvani Argilagos was in silver, and Dainier Peró will fight in more than 91 kilos, division where four years ago his brother Leinier was crowned.
