HAVANA, CUBA. - (ACN)The statement was made by US entrepreneur Scott Johnson, who is the Manager for International Business Development at the US Tradewinds Power Corp, based in Miami, Florida.
Johnson, who is currently and exhibitor at the 34th Havana International Trade Fair, told PL news agency that while the blockade still hinders operations they are exploring opportunities for future exchange and at the same time trying to contribute to mopening such doors to bilateral trade.
Tradewinds Power Corp. specializes in the production and supply of energy equipment fueled with oil, liquefied and natural gas, and also from renewable energy sources.
Among its equipment on display at the fair, the US company brought a water pump fueled with solar energy for agriculture watering systems.
Johnson said that they are not only interested in selling Cuba their equipment but also settle here to offer their services, and added that Cuba and the United States and given their close geographical position, Cuba could purchase the equipment in the US instead of going to far-away-markets for them.
The US companies at the fair have increases their presence if compared to last year´s commercial event. They have now displayed 20 stands in a pavilion where they have traditionally exhibit their products and services.
