Accompanied by his wife Adriana Pérez and the maximum authorities of the province, Gerardo knew details of the program of revival of this important pedestrian artery and of the Street of the Movies, the only thematic walk of this type in Cuba, which includes several institutions linked to the seventh art, the culture, recreation and services, and whose conception was part of the all-embracing programs owing to the 500th anniversary of the city in 2014.

Earlier he had visited the Provincial Museum Ignacio Agramonte, where he received a wide explanation about its rooms of history, art and natural history. There he was grateful for the tokens of solidarity of the Camagüeyan people, and recognized the important local historical, architectural and hereditary values, where as he said he will return with Gema.

Camagüey is the third Cuban province that Gerardo visits after his return to the Homeland.
