With the price of two convertible weight per hour of navigation by means of the Nauta cards, commercialized by the Cuban Telecomunications Company (ETECSA), the persons will have access to this service from mobile phones, tablets, laptops and other devices with Wi-Fi.
As told Mailen Durán, specialist in institutional Communication of ETECSA in this province, the mentioned users quantity was calculated bearing in mind the full use of the maximum speed of connection, of one megabyte per second.
It means that from 50 to 100 persons in every access point will be able to use the full-bandwidth simultaneously with all its services of load and download, but also more terminals can connect, although at a minor speed, indicated the specialist.
She said that the technical tests indicated that the navigation will be fast, efficient and with stability in the connection, parameters that have been among those of major demand of the users of ETECSA in the rooms for the conventional navigation.
The incorporation of the Wi-Fi technology in public spaces, responds to the interest of the Cuban State in the computerization of the society, who had a considerable advance in June, 2013 when kicked off the Internet services in the commercial points of ETECSA.
Since then, in Camagüey 2 400 Nauta accounts have been opened for the full access to the Internet, meanwhile those of national navigation with international e-mail are those who have taken major growth, with over 42 600 activations up to date, due to the possibility of using the e-mail from the mobiles.
It is foreseen that in 2016 the installation of the Wi-Fi spreads to other points of the city, emphatically in the tourist axis and in the principal shopping streets.
