The baths without tiling and the carpentry spoiled already are part of the past. Now 27 cabins, with capacity for 122 persons and with fans and TV sets in its interior, also show, new sets of bathrooms, new doors and windows, and the floor was replaced to seven cabins.
“Only 12 rooms were supposed to be repaired, but thanks to the work of the principal authorities of the province, we manage to remodel all of them. We also built 500 meters of sidewalks, an air-conditioned restaurant, a comfortable kitchen, improved the road of entry and the principal door. To achieve it in little over one month here we all work together with the masons”, mentioned Gabriel Ronquillo Álvarez, director of the installation.
To the already existing recreational areas: swimming pool, water reservoir, ranchon, areas for table football and baseball, archery, table games and walks in ponies and a spectacular basketball court was built.
The popular camping sits were created on the initiative of the leader of the Cuban Revolution Cuban Fidel Castro on May 16th, 1981, and directed by the Young Communist League (UJC), until it joins in the year 2009 to the Ministy of Tourism and Recreation.
