CAMAGÜEY.- A cultural day in Camagüey greets two motivations linked to August 12 and 13, on the occasion of World Youth Day and the 96th anniversary of the birth of Cuban leader Fidel Castro Ruz.

The communication office of the Provincial Directorate of Culture circulates a program that began this Thursday in the city and is concentrated mainly in open spaces such as parks and squares.

The promotion of books and reading prevailed during the morning of the 11th in Agramonte Park, and the presentation of the children's company La Andariega was announced in the afternoon.

In the surroundings of the Casino Campestre, the Circo Areíto has set up its camp with morning performances by clowns, in this case, Florecita and Cebollita, and night performances in the Iván Hidalgo Funes auditorium.

The Cuban Theater of Magic is presented at 10:00 a.m. in Plaza Habana, and from 6:00 p.m. Oral narrators from the eJo Project and Mariachis from Camagüey will animate; meanwhile, on the steps of the Álvaro Morell pre-university school, the night opens at 8:00 p.m.

Finlay Park at 6:00 p.m. offers its stage to amateur artists from the Joaquín de Agüero House of Culture and soloists from the Provincial Music Center; and in the case of Parque del Gallo, the show starts at 9:00 p.m. as in the Plaza de la Caridad.

The Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets has several points of sale for handicrafts, as has been verified in the Agramonte Park and in the Casino; meanwhile, in Plaza Joaquín de Agüero, a screen with audiovisual projection will turn on at 8:00 p.m.
