CAMAGUEY.- The Ignacio Agramonte University of this province will strengthen existing agreements and meet with international counterparts during the 2nd International Scientific and Technological Convention, to be held online as of today.
Yailé Caballero Mota, member of the Organizing Committee, told ACN that the event will host 370 participants and universities from 22 countries, including Cuba.
The UC—the first higher education center founded in Cuba after the triumph of the Revolution—will also promote discussions on the fight against COVID-19.
Caballero Mota, who also presides over the regional chapter of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, said that this time the UC will sign cooperation agreements with universities in Mexico, Brazil and Spain. The program includes symposiums, workshops and presentations by renowned academics from several nations.
