CAMAGUEY.- With the incorporation of flights from the Dominican airline Air Century, the Ignacio Agramonte International Airport, in this city, will receive four operations a week at the beginning of the reopening of Cuban borders.

On Thursdays and Sundays, aircrafts from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, as well as those of the Mexican company Viva Aerobus are scheduled to arrive in this terminal, confirmed Silvia Ferrer Veranes, head of the airport division, to the Cuban News Agency.

In the first Air Century operation through Ignacio Agramonte airport, 116 passengers arrived during a day in which 140 people also traveled from Cancun to this city, and another 131 were destined for Mexico.

Viva Aerobus planes will arrive with the scheduled weekly frequency, specifically Tuesdays and Thursdays, Ferrer Veranes added, and assured they are ready to attend the flights.

At all times at the airport facility, the guidelines described by the international sanitary control to avoid the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, are being complied with.

As part of the gradual reestablishment of services, the Ignacio Agramonte airport is expected to resume connections between Moscow, Russia, and this city, through the Nordwind airline.
