CAMAGÜEY.- Two new legal services are available to citizens through on-line tools. Now just by scanning a QR code you can track cases or request certifications from the Civil Status Registry.

The codes can be accessed at the headquarters of the Civil Registry, the municipal offices of Justice, the Facebook profiles of that institution, the website www.minjus.gob.cu and the Citizen Portal.

As part of the deployment of the Bienestar platform, from November 20 such procedures could be carried out on the web. Until now, 2 123 certifications from the Civil Status Registry have been requested through this channel, mainly from Camagüey, Guáimaro, Vertientes, Nuevitas and Santa Cruz del Sur, according to information provided by Belkis Rodríguez López, technical deputy director of the Provincial Justice Department.

The registration of acts of last will and declaration of heirs and the certification of criminal records can also be processed through digital platforms.
