CAMAGÜEY.- Food production is a Cuban State’s priority. Some of the programs to guarantee the food security in Camagüey are being checked by the first vice president of the Councils of State and of Ministers, Salvador Valdés Mesa, as part of the official visit to the province he started this Wednesday.

At the sales outlets located in the town of Altagracia and the productive center Victoria 1 belonging to the Farming Enterprise Camagüey, patio and land products are sold. The latter, taken as Reference, three workers guarantee services to the people and receive a salary of up to 3 000 pesos. However, better sowing strategies should be designed, the First Vice President, thus, suggested that reaching high volumes will drive down prices and increase workers’ incomes at the same time with real productive support.

The community La Lucha, on the road to Nuevitas, where land users benefited by the Decree Laws 259 and 300, also assessed how much is done in pursuit of food and employment, on the basis of exploitation of all the areas and available resources.

In terms of the 36 line items gotten at the Basic Business Unit of Fishing Estrella Roja, and of the two that, up to now, are exported –the swim bladder and the tench HG-- interacted with that derivative processor group in various areas of production, among which he appreciated a new laboratory.
