CAMAGÜEY.- The Camagüey's Culture Week will have the virtual space as the only way to exchange artistic practices, memories, thoughts and affections for the small country, from February 1 to 7.
The “areas” for the meeting will be the event page on Facebook and a seven-minute daily section in the informative magazine Acontecer (on Televisión Camagüey from Monday to Friday at noon); in addition to collaboration to share content through traditional and alternative means of communication.
Serrucho Producciones is commissioned to record actions that have defined the profile of the celebration, and should highlight through audiovisuals projects of Houses of Culture, personalities and institutions of the territory.
There will be no shortage of opening remarks by Lissette Bouza Cabrera, president of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power. She will read the statement in the privacy of her office, because everything will be done in compliance with the health measures against COVID-19.
For the 507th anniversary of the founding of the Villa de Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe, natural and legal persons will receive the corresponding distinction for their contribution from various fields to the development of the town.
The City Hall, the Writers' Meeting and the delivery of the literary prize of the City Silvestre de Balboa are included in the creative route of an atypical Week for inhabitants with roots and cultural projection in the midst of a pandemic, emphasized Yevgenis Peña Montenegro, municipal director of Culture.
