CAMAGÜEY- It takes more than 15 days to turn clay into art, to make a piece that moves, that is unique. Yuri Vidal and Ingrid Carrasco know it well.

Each year they exhibit outside their homeland, give away the art of Camagüey's clay. “The last exhibition we do is FIART, says Yuri, that's why we had almost never ventured to come here because we started the year with no pieces to show”.

“We like serious work, says Ingrid, nothing shiny or unnaturally transforming mud. We like to work the design, texture and matt colors. Respect the beauty of this work. ”

This is the second time they participate in the 500+ Fair. Its objective is to show good art from the mud, to cook a tradition of values and identity for this Region. "That is the most gratifying thing," says Yuri, "that they know us, that they identify the work we do, that they look for our pieces, that they wait for them."

Until next February 9, the Fair will be open, sponsored by the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assests from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Fairground of the city with productions that go from the goldsmith's, the footwear, the jewelery, the furniture and the ornamental plants.
