HAVANA.- (ACN) After several weeks of uncertainty and speculation, Victor Mesa was appointed by Havana provincial baseball commission as the new manager of Industriales for the coming National Series.

The former OF of the Cuba national teams will then replace Javier Mendez, who was in charge during the last two seasons (2015-2017) but who asked for his release for personal reasons.

Mesa comes to the squad after completing a cycle of six years with Matanzas, from 2011 to 2017, always qualifying to post-season, although without reaching the crown as he ranked second twice and also achieved four third seats.

The controversial coach also managed the squad of Villa Clara during the period 2000-2008, in which he won two silver and same amount of bronze medals.
