Among the first ones it will be necessary to take into accoount what should happen during the series -athletes' exits of the country, for example- and the rivalry that they are capable of having through the game; of the second one themes as diverse as publication of the match and behavior of the climate, which for this time of the year turns out to be slightly propitious to play baseball.

Precisely here I will make a stop. In advance it was known that in these months our principal sports contest would take place under the threat of the rain and the "added" of the high -highest- temperatures that have characterized the present summer. Both obstacles are very important, but they put in danger the ostensible splendor of the tournament.

Not in vain, from the first competitions of baseball that were organized in Cuba, somewhere near the ends of the XIXth century, it always competed for the months of our discreet winter. This way two problems were conspiring together: the heat and the downpours of the most humid period (between May and October).

Already in the Republic period it was allowed to the native professional championship to introduce this fact within the scheme of winter tournaments subordinated to the ¨Mayores¨ and to guarantee the presence of numerous figures that were thinking about how to have a position under the ¨Gran Carpa¨.

Obviating these previous experiences and without bearing in mind that both the MLB and the Japanese league are developed during the spring and the summer of the north hemisphere, the National Baseball Committee has bet for moving forward the Series and placing it almost in the middle of the year, although without achieving what at first was claimed: to avoid the interruptions that have characterized it in its last editions.

This way, this time stops were forseen for the tournament Premier and the Series of the Caribbean, among others, without being provided with the proper irregularity provoked by the weather, which in this beginning of calendar have already interrupted several meets (among them, that of the proper opening and the two first ones of Camagüey).

CAMAGÜEY OPENS LOSING

With defeat of 2-5 before Las Tunas, Camagüey sealed -finally- its first commitment of the present campaign. This collation had been suspended on Sunday at a height of the fifth chapter and resumed this Monday, always under the threat of the rain.

Finally, the left-handed Dariel Góngora loaded with the reverse, meanwhile Yosbel Alarcón was taking the success; Yadir Echevarría noted down a saved game.

Today, from 3:00pm, it is announced a double game in the "Cándido González" stadium, since there will be resumed the shock interrupted yesterday by a thunderstorm that flogged the Camagüeyan capital.
