Mario Rodríguez, vicedirector of sports in Camagüey said that these categories are athletics, boxing, diving, fencing, field hockey, synchronized swimming, triathlon, basketball, modern pentathlon, water polo, rowing, shooting, softball and indoor volleyball.

Some competitors like the fighters Julio César la Cruz, Lenier Peró and Yasniel Toledo, the hamer throwing athlete Yipsi Moreno, the runner Rosemary Almanza and the diver Jeinkler Aguirre were present in the last games in Guadalajara, México, in 2011.

In this previous competition there were 40 athletes that obtained 15 medals. It was said that another 12 Camagüeyan will be in Toronto as couches, delegates, federatives, referees and judges.
