HAVANA.- Oliet Rodriguez, Cuba´s national soccer commissioner, confirmed that the Cuban team will arrive with one athlete less to the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup that will host the United States from tomorrow.

The reason is the refusal of a visa to the player Yordan Santa Cruz, a fact that Rodriguez regretted and that leaves the squad coached by Raul Mederos at a great disadvantage as he´s Cuba´s best player and captain.

Cuba debuts on Saturday against Mexico, to then face Martinique and Canada on June 19 and 23, in that order.
