A considerable number of heads of States and Government confirmed their presence in the meet, among them, the Army General Raúl Castro, President of Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba.

The westernmost island of the Caribbean participates for the first time due to the united claim of Latin America and the Caribbean since the initial edition of these summits, in Miami, Florida, in December, 1994, and of recognition to its contribution to the integration process from the economic, commercial and financial point of view.

Also there will travel to the Panamanian capital chiefs of the Alliance Bolivariana for the Peoples of Our America, like Evo Morales, Rafael Correa and Nicolás Maduro, presidents of Bolivia, Ecuador and Republic Bolivariana of Venezuela, respectively.

While the leaders of the two Americas will carry their meetings this morning, in the Assembly Hall of the University of Panama over 400 representatives of the peoples of the South have theirs in a parallel way, to analyze fundamental topics of the development and the peace in the region.

One of the matters that will be debated will be the executive order of the American president Barack Obama against Venezuela, for considering it to be a threat to its safety, and the raising of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the USA towards the island nation for over 50 years.

According to the program of the event, the IInd Managerial Summit of the Americas wraps up today, where last Thursday Cuban businessmen shared experiences on the update of the economic model of the nation.     

Also yesterday was set up the Summit of the Peoples and the Cuban troubador Silvio Rodríguez offered a concert to the participants.
