CAMAGÜEY.- In only two months several attractive tents arose in the Central Highway, almost in the corner of Martí street of this city, which contribute to the revival of the area, as it was an oasis, since there residents and travelers can refresh, consume food and even enjoy themselves in many ways, even with the wireless connection (Wi-Fi).

Ricardo Estévez Leyva, manager of the new complex of the Santa Maria Provincial Company of City Tourism, tells that in a beginning it was to create only a snack bar and a shop where earlier there existed a service-center of naphtha of the Provincial Company of Transport.

Nevertheless other dependencies were joining as in the high plant a lounge of electronic games in national currency with simulator of planes and cars, gun laser, table of billiards and bar for drinks and refreshments, quite air-conditioned.

The wide parking, also in national currency, for motorcars, motorcycles, electric motorcycles, as well as simple and electrical bicycles, has the only singularity in Camagüey and perhaps in the country, because it has several sockets that give load the batteries.

For the community of the area there is very useful the offer of the shop, which in schedule from 8 of the morning to 8 of the night, except every Sunday until 5 p.m., has domestic utensils, spices, coffee and other supplies.

In the snack bar it is possible to consume pizzas, sandwiches, steaks, croquettes, cocktails, and other food, more varied drinks.

Ricardo emphasizes the active participation of most of 22 workers of the Complex in its constructive fitting out, along with several employed artists of the Fund of Cultural Assets for the decoration of the different areas.

But the main course of The Tents is Saturday night, when they arrange from 8:30 to 11 of the night an artistic spectacle with humorists, soloists and musical groups.

In spite of everything they are not content with what´s ready, so if now nine are the tents, each one for eight persons, they think to create two more, as well as an air-conditioned private room, and every Sunday from 2 p.m. they foresee to develop a cultural matinée, similar to the nocturne one on Saturdays.

With The Tents, the Camagüey’s Santa Maria Company increases its offers for the local and foreign tourism, in a healthy and relaxing ambience, of which Ricardo and his workpeople take responsibility.
