Cuban tourism grows 23 percent in first half of 2017

Cuban Minister of Tourism Manuel Marrero reported to the People´s Power Assembly that in the first six months of 2017, almost 2.7 million tourists visited the island, for a 23.2 percent growth compared to last year.


Non-state workers run a third of Cuban service businesses

By the end of the first half of the year, 4,271 units of the Ministry of Domestic Trade (MINCIN) are managed by the non-state sector, Mirurgia Ramirez, general director of services of that agency, noted.
