HAVANA.- (ACN) The First Deputy Minister of Cuba’s Telecommunications Ministry, (Mincom), Jorge Luis Perdomo and the First Vice Minister of China’s Cyberspace Administration, Wang Xiujum, evaluated on Monday in Beijing cooperation in the field.

According to Prensa Latina News Agency, both government officials underlined cooperation in the important area developed by both governments on the bases of the memorandum of understanding signed on July of 2014 in the framework of the visit of President Xi Jinping to Cuba.

Both government officials highlighted the common positions in the field in the multilateral context in which both nations promotes the establishment of international regulations that will allow an adequate governability of cyberspace.

Perdomo, who was accompanied by the Cuban ambassador to China, Miguel Angel Ramirez thanked Wang for his government’s support in the cooperation in telecommunications and internet.

The Cuban Vice Minister referred to the special significance that the cooperation has in the implementation of strategies in modernizing Cuban society on computer science which is one of the priorities of the Cuban Communist Party.
